Shipping policy

We Ship To Most Locations Within Canada

At this time, we are shipping our composting systems and supplies in Canada all throughout the year. Customers can enjoy the convenience of having our products delivered right to their doorstep (or postal outlet), to most locations within Canada.

We aim to provide a seamless and efficient shopping experience for all our valued customers.

For orders totalling $145 or more, shipping is completely free to many locations in Canada! If you live in Yukon, Nunavut or the Northwest Territories please contact us directly for discounted shipping rates and delivery times. 

SHIPPING INFO FOR LIVING MATERIAL, EM & COMPOST

All of our products (including those containing live organisms) are shipped through Purolator, UPS, or Canada Post. 

We ship Monday to Friday, but there is usually a turn-around time of 24-72 hours, so orders placed later in the week will usually be sent out early the following week. 

If you have ordered Living Material for use as a worm starter culture, please be aware that the worms (and cocoons) in these products are often small and well-hidden, and that shipping itself can further reduce their visibility due to moisture loss. Once the material has been added to your (damp) system with some food, you should start to notice the worms much more easily.

SEASONAL SHIPPING GUIDELINES

NOV.1 - FEB.28:

  • If temperatures in your area are mild (day time highs are in the range of 0°C or above) at the time you wish to order living products contact us at info@pacificcomposting.ca to see if it’s feasible for us to ship.

  • We also offer year round farm pickup for all our products.

HOT WEATHER:

If daytime temperatures in your area are above 30°C, we won’t ship any of our living products. If you place an order and it’s too hot to ship safely, we’ll let you know and hold your order until conditions improve.

OUR LIVING PRODUCT GUARANTEE

We offer a live-arrival guarantee for all our products containing living organisms as long as you pick up the package from your local mailbox or courier/postal outlet within 24 hours of delivery. In the unfortunate case of there being an obvious DOA (foul smells, dead worms etc), please get in touch within 12-24 hours and we will be more than happy to work with you, and to rectify the situation if necessary. Refund requests submitted past 24 hours will not be accepted. 

Should there be extreme weather warnings expected we will discuss delaying living product shipments with you as we cannot guarantee their survival.  

Our Living Product Guarantee is also applicable for customers who select the pick up option at check out. In this case, the guarantee will be void if the customer does not come to the farm, or fails to make alternate arrangements within 3 business days of receiving the order pick-up notification.
